Description of the presentation: Navigating the IEP process can feel overwhelming, but with the right knowledge, you can confidently advocate for your child. In this session, we’ll break down the three things every parent of a child with an IEP needs to know: the law, the services, and the strategies that get results. We’ll demystify IDEA, federal regulations, and case law—translating legal jargon into practical, real-world advocacy tools. You’ll learn how to evaluate services, understand best practices, and use proven negotiation and collaboration techniques to ensure your child gets what they need to make progress. With relatable examples and clear explanations, this workshop will leave you feeling informed, empowered, and ready to take action.
