Prior to the pandemic, FCPS had contracted the American Institutes of Research to complete a Comprehensive Special Education Audit. An interim report was shared in September 2021, which you can find on our site at this link.
AIR has completed their audit and released their final report. You can find the final documents at FCPS’ BoardDocs link here, posted Monday, September 26th.
We are sharing the documents here for ease of access for the community. The document below was downloaded on September 28, 2022 at appx 10:25am (occasionally documents posted to BoardDocs are updated after their initial posting). It is our understanding there were some updates intended to improve accessibility, but that there may still be problems for screenreaders.
The FCPS School Board has a work session to review this report scheduled for Tuesday, October 4th, 2022 from 10:00am-12:30pm, and from 1:00pm-2:00 (updated 9/28/22). That work session will be viewable live on FCPS’ YouTube Channel, FCPS’ livestream website, or Channel 99 (public TV, scroll down on this page for channel equivalents).
