2026 SEPTA Award winner siblings Reema and Sheel Patel, who are Langley High School students, are the co-founders of a nonprofit organization called Siblings of the Exceptional, which supports individuals with special needs and their families. This year, Siblings of the Exceptional is organizing their annual WALKATHON-Walk & Roll for Awareness on Saturday, August 29. The event is completely free and welcomes individuals of all abilities, along with their families, friends, and community members. While there is no registration fee, donations are welcome and will help support the purchase of special equipment and resources for students at Kilmer Center School.
This event aligns with SEPTA’s mission, and SEPTA Board members will be there to support the event, meet members, and provide information. The more, the merrier! We would love to have as many families and community members join us as possible to celebrate inclusion and make a positive impact. Please share the event information with your friends, families, and the special education community.
